What exactly Is coaching?

Coaching is an opportunity for you to explore your way of being in a particular area you may be feeling frustrated or stuck.

why should i hire a coach?

Coaches help clients achieve their goals through powerful conversations that are intended to inspire new thinking, perceptions and behavior.

A coach brings a new perspective to your situation and provides a safe, nonjudgmental space for you to figure out how to close the gap between where you are and where you want to be.

Your work with a coach could be the catalyst that radically shifts the quality and direction of your life in a way you never considered possible.

Am I ready for a coach?

You should consider coaching if:

  • You want to look closely at thought and behavior patterns that may be holding you back

  • You are committed to making changes, taking action and evolution

  • You are ready to be curious, open and honest with yourself

  • You crave a new way of seeing yourself and those around you

How is coaching different than therapy?

The shortest answer is that coaching accepts where you are now and focuses on looking forward to where you want to be in the future. Therapy and counseling focus more on your history and an analysis of how you got to your present state.

what can I expect in our work together?

I believe that you are the expert in your life - that you are whole not broken - and that you are resourceful and capable of far more than you imagine.

I also feel we can learn from others experiences and can grow further, faster when we are part of a supportive community. That’s why most of my work is done in the form of workshops, bootcamps and small groups.

As the group facilitator, I will not offer advice, but rather ask powerful, open-ended questions that are an invitation for deeper reflection and exploration.

how often do we meet?

There are workshops, bootcamps and small groups offered on a weekly and monthly basis. You are welcome to attend as often as you would like.

I meet with individual clients once a week. Meeting once a week offers time for reflection and application of learning between sessions, while maintaining the momentum of our work together.

Depending on distance and preference, we will meet in person, over the phone, or via Skype. We will decide what works best at the start of the coaching relationship.

how many sessions will i need?

You can attend one or all of Thrive Coaching Studio’s workshops and bootcamps. I have created each session to stand alone, but they all work together to create meaningful change for participants.

For my private clients, I require a three month minimum commitment, after which we can proceed on a month-to-month basis. Most people find coaching more beneficial than they realized and stay on longer than they initially anticipated - generally nine months to a year.
